PADI eLearning with Indian Valley Scuba

Indian Valley Scuba offers two levels of e-learning certification. You can elect to certify as a PADI Open Water diver, with 4 checkout dives, and be completed in one weekend. Or you can opt for the PADI exclusive National Geographic Open Water certification, which requires six checkout dives, and also includes the bonus PADI Specialty certifications in Peak Performance Buoyancy and Coral Reef Conservation. Both levels include all the same great benefits as our regular Open Water classes, just in a more compact package. With each course you receive the same great personal gear package with mask, fins & snorkel, a gear bag, log book, dive tables, cool IVS tee shirt, and your PADI certification. The price is the same as our regular Open Water classes - $500.00 per person, and includes everything listed above.

Divers also have the option of completing the entire program in a brand new Drysuit and completing their PADI Drysuit Specialty certification at the same time. Please note, if this option is selected, one additional pool session may be required in order to fully prepare the diver for their open water dives. This will be determined by the instructor. For more details check out the Drysuit Option below.

Step One

You start off with a call or a visit to the Indian Valley Scuba dive center to register for the course, complete some paperwork, and pick up your gear which is included in the course. You'll also be registered on-line and given an access password to the PADI e-learning site.

Then, you complete your academics on line, at your leisure and on your schedule. When you are done, you're ready to call the shop to schedule your academic review & pool sessions, plus your checkout dives.

Step Two

Once you've completed the online academics, it's time to schedule your Review and Pool Sessions. We'll start by fitting you with all the gear we'll need for the class and open water sessions. We actually train you in the gear you'll be diving with! We'll also review your academics, go over key points with you, and answer any questions you may have. Finally, it's time to head over to the pool!

Step Three

Finally, it's time to do your certification dives. We'll need to schedule two days of diving, either locally at Dutch Springs, or on one of Indian Valley Scuba's Tropical Adventure's.

Drysuit Option

Be sure to take advantage of our Drysuit Option! Drysuits keep you warm and toasty when the water's chilly. There's no reason not to enjoy your open water dives as much as possible. Drysuit divers dive more, enjoy their dives more and are warmer after the dive.

Do all your training dives using a modern dry suit system and become dry suit certified the same weekend you do your Open Water Diver certification dives. It's only $125/person (that's a $30 savings over doing the Drysuit Diver course later) and includes a drysuit orientation session, one pool dive with the drysuit, use of the drysuit on all your open water dives and one additional open water dive. Plus you'll be one step closer to finishing your Advanced Open Water course and earning your Master Scuba Diver!

Time is a precious thing these days and we never have more! Rest assured that we DO NOT cancel classes - EVER! If you sign up for one of our courses we guarantee that it will happen - no need to worry about it being canceled.
