Dry Suit Diver
Specialty
When you have the right cold water scuba diving attire, you can stand up to the elements and take advantage of the generally better visibility offered by winter months — especially at inland dive sites such as quarries, lakes, sinkholes and caves etc. As a dry suit diver, you’re equipped to scuba dive some of the world’s most incredible dive sites in the cooler regions that are best enjoyed in a dry suit even in the warmer months. This course covers the wide range of drysuit options available, the history of drysuit development, proper care and maintenance of your drysuit (or more importantly, our rental drysuit!). It also includes a confined water session to ensure that you know how to achieve proper buoyancy and trip, straighten yourself out after a tumble or roll to an inverted position, and balance your inflation controls to maintain comfort and control without affecting your in-water buoyancy. Drysuit ownership, or rental, plus two open water dives are required to complete this certification.
