Taking the properly prepared technical novice to the first level of true technical diving, this program trains the diver to a maximum training depth of one hundred fifty feet using Oxygen Enriched Air blends for bottom mixes and up to 100% O2 mix as a single accelerated decompression gas. Utilizing a multi-agency approach, we have created a program that includes what we consider the best methodology in the development of a properly trained technical diver, the first and highest priority being the continuation of the development of the "Technical Mindset" that was started in the Tec Fundamentals and Tec 100 programs. A thorough academic session and review of theory provides the diver with excellent comprehension of Decompression Illness and Oxygen Toxicity concepts and as a result, enables them to confidently design dive plans that further reduce risks of DCI and O2 Toxicity. The in-water skills and exercises introduce the student diver to innovative techniques in survival, self-sufficiency, and proper decompression management. A minimum of four dives and a minimum of 150 minutes of run time ensures the diver of being properly accustomed to the technical side of diving.
